Magical Power of Prasad
Visit to temple – Prasad of Bananas (more in number than usual) – Snack of Vada Pav comes with a pin – Pin hurts the throat – Swamiji advises to eat Banana – the endoscopy shows the pin is gone
I would like to share with all Hanumanji’s bhaktas a miracle which happened to me last year in May 2006.
My friend and I happened to visit temple with our children. Swamiji blessed us all and gave me 2-3 bananas as “prasad”. After seeking his blessings we settled to sing bhajans and again at time of leaving we met Swamiji. He again blessed us with some more bananas, which was indeed surprising as Swamiji never gives anything in excess.
After leaving the temple, we decided to eat some snacks as the kids were very hungry. We ordered “Vada Pav”, eating which I felt like I had gulped down a sharp object. It seemed like a small pin and caused deep pain. I could feel it piercing my throat and tried to bring it out. This was very painful and I could taste blood. I immediately called my husband who suggested I should visit the nearest hospital. I however, had firm faith in Swamiji’s blessings and decide instead to visit the hospital near our home which is 3 hrs away.
My husband panicked and called up Swamiji to seek his blessings. Swamiji advised everything would be alright and suggested to eat bananas which would force the pin down. When my husband conveyed this message, I immediately realized the purpose of excess bananas.
As I started eating bananas I felt lot better and could no longer taste blood. When I reached the hospital which was past mid-night, I went for endoscopy. The results revealed the pin had made a wound in my throat, but fortunately was no longer stuck in my throat. The doctor was concerned that the pin might be stuck in chest, but the x-ray report showed a clean picture. The doctor did give me a green signal, though warned me to return if I felt any signs of pain in my abdomen. I felt completely alright and until date have never experienced pain again.
I can relate all this to Swamiji’s blessings and the ever magical power of his Prasad.
